Haniyfa Muhammad Branka is a published writer and mixed-media artist whose work interlaces clay, fiber, collage, and diverse mediums to explore memory, identity, and transformation. Holding a B.S. in Psychology and Human Services and an A.S. in Art, her practice is shaped by advocacy, creative expression, and community engagement. Her layered compositions “stitched, fractured, and mended” mirror the nonlinear processes of healing and remembrance. Haniyfa is the Founder of Created Together and Founder and Executive Director of Trust Yourself, a prevention nonprofit. Through an eco-conscious, materials-based approach, she transforms remnants of harm into sanctuaries of reflection, honoring resilience and inviting collective restoration.
